This FREE 5 week course is for those who have very little knowledge of using MS Office or Job searching.

Every Friday from 15th November 2024 for 5 weeks.

You must be in receipt of benefits and proof must be shown. You are required to attend this registration session to enrol and pay the £5 refundable CASH deposit to secure your place.

Understand how to use the computer and introduction to MS Word
Use MS Word to create and save mock covering letter
Use Excel to support Job Search
Create a PowerPoint presentation for an interview
How to use social media and job boards for job searching

Registration morning Friday 8th November @ 9.30-11.30am

IMPORTANT: To attend this course you must be able to use a computer/mouse etc.

Intermediate IT skills for Job Seekers (Fridays -January – February 2025)

This FREE 5 week course is for job seekers who have some knowledge of using a computer.

Week 1 – Understanding how to use a computer

Week 2 – Use MS Word – create and save a covering letter

Week 3 – Edit letters, create and save files

Week 4 – Learn how to use the internet for job searching

Week 5 – use emails to apply for jobs

Registration morning Friday 10th January 2025 @ 12.30 -2.30pm you must be in receipt of benefits and proof must be shown. You are required to attend this session to enrol and pay the refundable £5 CASH deposit, to secure your place.

Everyday Digital Skills (Fridays, January – February 2025)

This 5 week course is for those who would like to become more confident in using the computer and internet for managing day to day tasks (To attend this course you must be able to use a computer/ mouse etc.)

Navigate MS Word & Email – create professional documents, send emails with ease and manage your inbox

Use MS Excel with ease – track your finances, bills and create budgets

Use the Web – safe internet searching, online shopping and banking

Be Tech Savvy, stay safe and secure online – download applications safely, avoid online scams, keep devices and information protected
